Role of Ribonucleotides in boost intestinal wellness: a new Test Report
Several studies have already demonstrated that dietary nucleotides can have beneficial effects on gut health. In particular, has been shown that those can have a positive impact on gastric mucosa integrity and reparation, on improving intestinal immune defences and on promoting useful bacteria growth as well.
Recently, Prosol commissioned a new in-vitro study to verify Ribodiet®’s ability to boost intestinal wellness.
The aim of this study was to examine the effects of a mixture of nucleotides in modulating gut barrier functionality and integrity.
Scientific investigations of Ribodiet®’s Nucleotides for Intestinal wellness
Ribodiet® is a yeast extract standardized in a high content of free nucleotides (>40%), rich in all macro and micro nutrients naturally occurring in a yeast cell: essential and non essential aminoacids, minerals and group B vitamins. Recently Ribodiet properties has been evaluated by a new in vitro model.
In the last study in particular, external scientists and experts[1] examined Ribodiet® power in modulating gut barrier functionality and integrity. The study was conducted on a 3D Caco-2 cell line as a model of the intestinal barrier.
The study has confirmed that the somministration of a mixture of nucleotides has significant effects on modulating gut barrier functionality and integrity: those results strengthen what has already been described in the literature.
